Used this book for my Fundamentals of networking class and it was far better than the class assigned book It even has everything in the text hyperlinked So if you come across a word or term you are not familiar Just double click it and you will instantly have the term / word definition and what it is Really helpe

Hated the class, book was decent College required a book that all the stuff was available from the website Professor required checking the book when only approx 10 of the lab's were used Be sure you can do binary math, look up on the web how to do ip addressing and subnetting before you take the class, otherwise you will be in purga

I don't do well with ebooks and comprehension so I prefer to have print This follows the Cisco etext perfectly even shows many of the interactive slides from the online textbook.

  4. says:

Even know I had the virtual book, the text was easier to navigate and reference This book can assist with preparing for your CCNA certification.

  5. says:

All though the book is structured well, example explanation goes into long winded discussion that loses the reader, would be great if the explanation can be simplified and structured better to enable the readers to easily remember the examples.

Fast arrival and recent edition 2018 2019

  7. says:

This is a good guide for the CCNA1 course, and supports the information presented in the netacad.com Modules.

After reading first 2 ch I realized that author keep repeating himself and I lost interest in reading.Waste of money and I don't know why my instructor picked this book.

  9. says:

Bought this book as it was on my University reading list, there's nothing wrong with it perse, but it's the same content as what is on Netacad The content is good, albeit for those with absolutely no networking knowledge at all may struggle.
