Ing Norma’s vicious attacks push Grace to investigate further and what she finds makes her uestion everything she thinks she knows pointing to a very different past and a devastating betrayalAs Grace uncovers the truth can she protect her family from the conseuences of what her sister did Grace is a surgeon who has recently moved to be closer to her mother who is suffering from Dementia She is married to Matt and they have a biological son Daniel and also care for their nephew Dillon since Grace s sister Hope died from a brain tumourWhen Grace is called out in the middle of the night the patient s arm is beyond repair and reuires amputation However she soon realises the patient is Hope s partner and Dillon s dad Aidan KennedyThere are several threads carefully woven throughout the novel secrets about Aidan and his mother Norma are gradually revealed as the story progressesI enjoyed this read and felt it was carefully plotted and well written However I wanted it to be gripping and would have liked a bit of a climax at the end That said I would recommend this read and will look out for books by the authorThanks to netgalley for the ARC
