100 muscle building fat burning recipes with meal plans to sculpt your warrior bodyEver wonder how professional MMA fighters in the UFC prepare their bodies for fights The real training often starts in the kitchen where the right meals at the right times can give fighters everything they need to be ready for their next matchFighters fuel their bodies with precise nutrients delivered at specific times to achieve their functional physiues and now you can too The Fighter's Kitchen provides expert guidance on what and when to eat and it helps you understand how our bodies use what we eat to burn fat and build lean strong muscle Through phased weekly meal plans expert insight on how and when to take full advantage of your body's muscle building capabilities and 100 delicious recipes you'll find yourself looking ring ready even if you have no plans to step into one Chris has been my in camp nutritionist for two plus years and has worked with me for five training camps in a row With his help and cooking skills I've been able to train harder and make weight easier I was instantly amazed with how much food I was able to eat and still lose weight Many of the recipes in this book are not only healthy but they also look and taste great Daniel Jacobs current IBF world middleweight boxing champion and former WBA world middleweight boxing champion This book helped me lean up and perform better There really is a science to eating well and gaining muscle mass and losing weight When I lost the majority of my weight I had to really watch my macro nutrients I kept track of how much protein carbs and fats as a percentage of my total calories in a day and needed to ensure I kept in a very specific ratio for both losing weight and maintaining muscle It worked really well for meThis book dives into a greater knowledge of those macro nutrients why they are so important and how to use them to achieve your body goals You can choose from one of four plans maintenance strength muscular endurance and power and explosion You are told your total calories for the day and the percentage of carbs protein and fats For example the strength plan sees your carbs at 40% protein 30% and fats at 30% of your daily caloric intake when I was losing weight my protein was 40% carbs 30% and fats 30% for example The key is in counting and keeping track While this book has a breakdown for each recipe if you don t track everything you intake it wont be helpfulAfter a sound background into the meal plans nutrition sample meal plans Chris gives us 100 recipes that are easy to make full of nutrients and help you meet your goal There are sections for breakfast entrees salads sides sandwiches steaks and smoothies shakes desserts my favourites Each recipe is on its own page and also comes with its own nutritional break down for calories fat carbs and protein The recipes are for the most part very simple to follow usually only a few steps some items you will have to purchase specially but if you follow a healthy diet you should have many of these items at homeThis is an excellent resource and recipe book for men and women who are looking to improve their health increase their nutrition knowledge and focus on giving their body the fuel it needs to meet their goals While easy to follow mostly because of the fantastic writing it is jam packed with knowledge and tools that you need to succeed with your goals A must have for every health conscious individual

During training and competition without feeling like I'm on a diet or having cravings The recipes Chris give you are simple delicious and nutritious It's an easy to follow lifestyle and the results have been amazing for me and they'll be tremendous for you Aung La Nsang professional MMA fighter and current ONE world middleweight champion and ONE world light heavyweight champion Chris Algieri is one of the biggest and most fit boxers at his weight class and is a world champion He makes me confident that not only will I make weight but I will also perform at my peak performance He made specific adjustments for my body type and has a great understanding of individual needs This book will be a great resource for anybody Dennis Bermudez retired UFC fighterChris has helped me with my diet for my entire 10 year career in mixed martial arts He has helped with my day to day nutrition in and out of fight camps my weight cut protocol and my rehydration program for after weigh ins which to me are the most important Chris doesn't only tell you what to eat and when to eat it but he also breaks down how every person's body is different and reacts to certain foods different and he explains why I should eat certain foods and why eating them at a specific time is so important Having him on my team absolutely gave me a tremendous advantage over my competition I wouldn't trust anyone else with my The Fighter s Kitchen is a collection of recipes that are meant to fuel your body It s for the person who has already reached their goals and for people who are starting out and maybe don t know how to use food to reach their goals as well as fuel their bodies I m in the latter category Before we even get to the recipes it has a comprehensive introduction chapter that provides all the info you need for how our bodies use fats carbs and proteins It also provides 7 day samples of 4 different types of meal plans and which one is right for your goals Along with that it has a guide for macros at a glance so you can skim and see which recipe might fit your goals for that day The recipes are easy to follow the nutritional facts are easy to see and they contain both the amount of servings per recipe and serving size I feel like as I learn about how to fuel my body and what types of foods I need for different goals and different times of day that this cookbook will become and useful I received a copy of this book from netgalley in exchange for my review
