The first half of this very funny take on a nightmare scenario moms crashing their thirtysomething sons' lives for a week is four star worthy There's a dry predictable patch around the 23 mark but the zippy conclusion nearly makes up for it Good light summertime fare Broadly British like those few bits of the movie 'Love Actually'

I usually don't finish books I'm not a big fan of but I was hopeful this book would turn it around There was room for a lot of potential but the author never really took off with it The premise is cute three moms go and live with their sons in their mid 30s for a week announced in order to connect with their sons I feel the chara

Some of this was really good some great descriptive lines I had to read some phrasing again because it was delightful and some of it wasn’t my cup of tea because we’re in England so three stars I loved the focus on the relations

Another book recommendation from Dear Fahrenheit 451 Hilarious premise of three moms surprising their thirty something year old son

Perfect book for a book club would be interesting to discuss the premise of loving and wanting to visit your son or daughter based on if they lived a life YOU approved of and gave you what you wanted in this case made you a

Such a good amount of humor in this book and of course I love some good British humor It’s not too serious but does deal with some serious topics in a lighthearted way A good examination of mothers and their relationship with their all grown up sons

With mixed success the mothers set out to whip their sons into shapeLaugh out loud funny and remarkably insightful about family life Otherhood will appeal to parents who yearn for a closer relationship with their adult children and for the younger generation who seem to want the opposite but will never uite relinuish the hope that their parents will swoop in and make everything better. Perfect book for a book club would be interesting to discuss the premise of loving and wanting to visit your son or daughter based on if they lived a life YOU approved of and gave you what you wanted in this case made you a grandmother or not Although the writing was good making me care about the characters I found the premise shallow and outdated
