Aisling has every reason in the world to like her life as it is away from the shifter community Tucked in her little corner of the world she sees no reason to gets involved in the drama of the ever warring packs until trouble knoc. 3 Big Cats Little Cats Shifter Cats StarsThis a short easy peasy read that was low on angst had some super mild drama and a ton of secondary characters that will piue your interest The story centers around Rye the alpha of a Wyvern Pride When his seer forsees a wolf attack on their small group that completely decimates them Rye is desperate to find a safe haven for his group of misfits When his second in command Duante offers up a safe place that is too perfect to be true it is Aisling loves her baby brother but Duante really screwed her on this one For years Aisling has isolated herself from everyone choosing to be a loner rather than risk herself with a Pride even if she and her cat are both depressing lonely about it But she can t turn away a group with women and children away It doesn t help that Rye both grates on her nerves and makes her inner kitty frisky as ever What I liked I ve read a few books by this author and like before I loved her writing style It s clean smooth and gets to the point without dragging it out burying you under endless dialogue or boring you with unnecessary detail Her characters are fleshed out likable and bursting with chemistry I liked reading about this shifter world she s created even if some of the details and subplots felt a bit too forced I liked how Rye and Aisling acted and reacted both in human and cat form their inner cats made me laugh Memorable Moments The theory behind the whole matingtrue mate thing being debunked Some said mates were the results of an evolutionary thing nature picked two people who were likely to have strong children and bound them together That theory was destroyed by the fact that sometimes true mates were of the same sex and therefore unable to reproduce SAFETY INFO view spoiler Ages Aisling is 28 and Rye is 31 neither are virgin Cheating None OMOW drama Very small OW drama There is a member of Rye s pride who tries to ambush him in bed but Rye kicks her out real uick He has no feelings for her and their history was years ago This OW drama I get why it was in the story but I m not sure that it was necessary other than for drama s sake To me it just felt forced and revealed the mystery way too easily Separation None PushPull Rye and Aisling are both Alphas so they do push and pull for dominance and control Once they both give in to their animal instincts and let each other in the pushpull completely stops Main Pursuer of relationship Its funny because Rye is the first to scoff at the mere idea that Aisling might be his true mate and wants to keep things casual between them Aisling kind of knows the importance of the instant connection she feels for Rye but isn t pushing for anything from him right away In the end Rye is the one doing all the chasing with Aisling trying to keep her cool even though her cat pushes her own agenda Triggers None HEAHFN It s a shifter story with True Mates so it ends on a HEA but there is a main plot that is still unraveling and will continue in future books that feature different characters I m interested in Duante and Clary s story but the fact that Duante had a recent ongoing FB relationship with OW that might be a deal breaker hide spoiler

So basically this book read like Snore Snore Snore Sno Sno Snore Seriously literally NOTHING happens At all Even the end „fight“ was far from being interesting I don‘t need five billion tons of blood and war in my shifter romances but at least A LITTLE bit of suspense especially when the book starts with a scene like

Audiobook Narrators – Kai Kennicott and Wen RossBoth narrators did a great job Each characters’ voice was distinctive and I didn’t have any trouble adapting to their tone or fluctuations This was my first by these narrators and I will definitely be searching for their names in the futureThis was a great shifter story that was fast paced and well written It is low angst and written in dual POV The characters were well develop

This is the first paranormal romance that I have read by May Sage and I have to say I enjoyed it She did a great job creating a world where humans know about shifters but they don't necessarily trust them And frankly can you blame humans for fearing what they don't fully understand until they actually interact wi

It's not that there's something horrible about the book it's just that it's so perfected it's rather dull The tribe conveniently has loads of money and they through a convenient connection go to a woman who is also loaded with money and owns property perfect for their needs She happens to be his mate Too much falls into place too easily and too soon There is no real reason for them to resist each other besides some backstory for the fema

So I don't normally read paranormal books let alone shifter ones I think I may have only read one or two shifter prn books ever So to say I was a little nervous going into this one would be fair but I was pleasantly surpris
