Lled Someone is mocking them and their hell is only just beginningFrom its shocking opening to its jaw dropping conclusion SORRY is one of the most gripping thrillers ever writte. For the first uarter of the book I was a bit confused and for the first third I found the writing style to be really pretentious but that petered out with the that I read As the story unravelled it became a bit easy to read The book had a good concept to begin with but many of the things the characters did I found uestionable enough even with the characters personalities to bring me out of the story The writing style and ideas within the novel were interesting enough that I may give the author s next book a go

Berlin Four friends One extreme ideaKris TamaraWolf and Frauke set up an agency called Sorry An agency to right wrongs Unfair dismissals the wrongly accused everyone has a price. Want to break up with your husband who is two timing you Pay a fee and let the Agency Sorry do it for youDid you run over the neighbour s dog on your way to the Office Get Sorry to speak to your neighbour and arrange for the replacement or payment for the much loved petAll your troubles your anger your sorrow your guilt your disgust hand it over to Sorry they will take care of it for a fee Isn t it wonderful You pay and all that disgusts you pains you angers you taken care of in a jiffy for a sum of money of course leaving your conscience sueaky clean The possibilities are immense for the newly opened Agency Sorry money is rolling in But nothing lasts forever as the four partners of Sorry find out when on a call to an apartment they not only find a dead body but instructions on how to clean the scene of the crime after that everything starts disintegrating terribly The uestion is when do you draw the line when should the Agency have said this is not for me or I cannot do this The most important thing in life is to learn when to draw the lineI am always horrified and terribly saddened by brutality and if it involves children I come undone A very futile uestion comes to mind Why Why Why is this happening to children In this book I was particularly traumatised by the fact that the Victim turns Perpetrator Should such books be written Of course they should be But what if some Paedophile gets his ideas from such a book and I get a very sad reply from the depths of my being they improvise they know many games to keep them goingTo a uestion should I read such books The answer is I do not want to butI do not know how to rate such a book so I leave it as unrated

Zoran Drvenkar è 2 Summary

And Sorry will find out what it is It’s as simple as thatWhat they hadn’t counted on was their next client being a cold hearted killer But who is the killer and why has he ki. Four friends start an agency which is employed by companies and individuals to make the apologies they couldn t or wouldn t make themselves All goes well until a killer wants to use their servicesWhen I got this through the post to review from Waterstones it looked like a book I d really enjoy I read a lot of crime fiction and thought I was used to bleak storylines scenes of violence and murder However this novel goes beyond pretty much everything I ve read before I found it gloomy brutish distasteful and deeply unpleasantThe idea of an apology agency is a clever one but some of the details of the characters pasts were far too unpleasant and brutal for me There seems to have been a trend in the past few years for crime novels and crime TV series to have child abuse as a theme In my view it s time for this to stop as it s been used too often and is too exploitative Some of the scenes of abuse in this novel are very explicit and likely to be too much for many readers myself includedI also found the book deeply and unremittingly depressing as there doesn t seem to be a single ray of light in the darkness The structure of the novel is deliberatelyuite confusing in order to hide the identity of who is narrating at particular points There are sections headed Before and After which move the reader through time this also makes things complicated and tried my patienceAll in all I d have to say that this is one of the most unpleasant and gloomy books I ve ever read
