As a young freedom fighter Gage risked everything for the cause he believed in When I had initially thought this was an erotica story but it turned out to be a romance in a very dark and twisted kind of way I was a little worried at first not sure if I was going to like it or not but uickly found myself intrigued by the characters and completely absorbed in the story and their strange relationship Towards the end I was actually rooting for them to stay together which really surprised meThe story did have some flaws but despite that I was really enjoying it But the endingepilogue completely ruined it for me Not only was it sad and tragic it also felt completely out of character for Gage and clashed horribly with the overall tone of the story It felt very much like the author ran out of ideas or got bored and just tacked it on at the end at a later dateVery disappointing because if it wasn t for the ending I would have given this one a much higher rating

He is finally caught and imprisoned however his spirit struggles to survive against Captive is a story that really starts out in your face when the main character ends up in an unfamiliar place only to be tortured and pleasured by the man who s holding him captive I loved the domsub themes and the complexity of the character s relationship with the man who has taken him hostage The story shows that love comes in unlikely forms sometimes lasting and sometimes falling short I also liked the themes of war and resistance because it set a good backdrop for the main characters The new epilogue addresses how Gage deals with the power issues in his relationship with his lover and coming to terms with the things that haunted him in the past

Rin Sparrow ¼ 2 Review

The interrogator determined to force him into submission Warning dark themes some bd This is an odd little story very short and sort ofbrittle One wrong word and it could have fallen apart It held together enough to enjoy it thoughI certainly wouldn t turn down of this world

It was hard for me to give this book 3 stars I wanted to give to 2 but it was rather entertaining and uick to read so I'm being nice and gave it 3 Honestly this book kind of scared me a little bit It is comprised of 3 short stories the first one being the longest and the scariest Gage is a rebel spy who got captured Originally I thought it was some kind of dystopian world but later I guessed it was some kind of historical place
