I m torn here I believe I should write this thing in Spanish since this book is from my beautiful and yet complicated Mexico but i want you to know about it as well soMjmjmjThis will be r pidoI didn t read El Vampiro de la Colonia Roma at will I mean it I read it because i had to Period The freaking literature teacher or was it Spanish teacher gave us this book and said we must write an essay It was obligatory yeah So you see I had to unless I wanted to fail the freaking subject and get nagged at and since I was a teenager of course I didn t want people nagging me Ptt So I started my trip to the unknown that is the male protagonist s world Adonis Who was so poor he had to find a way to make money and eat so he starts a very interesting life as a nah can t say you have to find out on your own let s just say I learned a lot of things about gay people and their struggles It s a world you won t know unless you submerge yourself on it it s like learning a new language you can t just expect you are going to ever learn by just memorizing or practicing I mean there s some of that too but you also have to expose yourself to the whole culture thing Let s say you want to learn German you have to get real deep into Germany s culture in order to understand their language especially the idiomatic expressions and all of that That s the same thing in this book you can t possibly understand this world if you won t see it I saw it and I was mesmerized by it It gets you to think about all the different people that live in the same world as you and still feel like you re from worlds apart Wow Just wow This Adonis guy has not a pretty simple life like most of the protagonists on some books at least economically speaking He has to find his way in Mexico and he shares everything he s gone through that had made him what he is He takes you to places you never thought you ll see When I read this book I didn t know about La Zona Rosa now I joke about that with my gay friends and go to bars and stuffs over there Let me tell you you can see the most beautiful gays people on La Zona Rosa it just breaks your heart because How can he be so handsome and gay So unfair After El Vampiro de la Zona Rosa I see homosexuality way different than when I was 16 I haven t been against it but know I understand them and think they are human as well as we are and they can fuck whomever they please as long as they do it safely otherwise you ll pull an Adonis Muahah
