That’s a tight character limit right? I am not good at long form writing. I like to get in, get the point, pun or opinion across then get out again.
It started with quick fire games of roleplay in the 80’s. Evolved to fast paced card games. Merged with comedy sketches. Added a dash of impatience in the 90’s. Moved into Second Life’s stage in the 00’s with super short digital attention spans. Where it was chopped down to the 512 character limit of Second Life notices.
Shorter, tighter, faster writing.
Nai taught lessons on it.
“Oh dear shes so funny sometimes” chuckled Nikki.
“Is it just daft choices she makes?” asked Ray.
“Yep” grinned Nikki.
“Ahhh now I wouldn’t do that” said Sath.
“Hmm?” asked Nikki.
“Laugh at your missus choices” said Sath.
“Why not?” asked Nikki.
“Well” replied Sath, “you are one of them…”
I reckon this buggers scared a lot of us.
Doodle for Inktober for today’s theme, scared. Doodled with Posca Paint Pens.
By me. Been in a funk last few days, I am not quite where I want to be in life, but the life I want is attainable with some logistical planning. Will get it figured out and put ‘life plan’ on next months To-Do list.
On the upside the camera is back in my pocket and I am snapping pics where I can. There is something about taking photos with a camera, even a compact camera, that beats snot out of taking photos on a phone.
I started taking the NHS Livewell 10,000 steps a day challenge as part of my attempt to get healthy again. I wanted to mix that with cycling at the weekend and brisk dog walking during the week.
Turns out I was doing 9,000 a day without even trying. A mild up tick of effort and I was up to 12,000 – 14,000 a day in my first week of getting fit.
From the NHS Website linked to above :
A person aged 45 and weighing 70kg (about 11 stone) can burn around 400 calories by walking 10,000 steps briskly (3-5mph).
For me, a brisk walk for 30 minutes is about 3,000 steps. I am going to set myself a target of 15,000 steps a day consistently by the end of the month, as 10,000 is apparently where I am already at.
If I hit my 15,000 a day consistently for 2 months, I may reward myself with a £25 Misfit Flash fitness tracker as an update to my partners burrowed Daffodil.
